Towards this, OSDD has successfully brought together students, scientists, researchers, academicians, institutions, and corporations across the globe committed to the discovery of novel drugs for neglected tropical diseases on a single platform. Currently OSDD community comprises over 7900 participants from more than 130 countries. OSDD has thus created a new paradigm for distributed co-creation through crowd sourcing and the application of social media for research. OSDD has been organizing a number of crowd-sourcing activities from time to time, involving large scale community participation.
